Digbeth and the Custard Factory

This weekend when I went up to Birmingham I decided to explore Digbeth, and the graffiti there. I really like the the large mural pieces and also the fact that it’s treating the open public spaces like free galleries.

The Custard factory was also really interesting with the art surrounding it, and also featured a pool in it’s inner courtyard. Although the building are full of cool shops (art cafes, dining cinema and hipster barbers) the aesthetics of the outsides still give a slightly abandoned feel – which I actually really liked.
